I love sewing supplies. New thimbles, fresh packs of tailor’s chalk and of course all the pretty fabrics and threads. But every once in awhile something extra neat lands in my sewing room, like Colette Pattern’s Sewing Planner.
This modern notebook has one goal--to help you organize your sewing thoughts so that you can get to creating whenever the mood strikes. There are two pages for each project, one side for filling in notes like the name of project, size of garment, fabric choices and supplies needed. The other is a sheet of grid paper for drawing your fashion flats or jotting down addition information. I especially like the square for attaching a swatch of your project fabric. There is a section for each season with room for lots of projects in each one. All the project work sheets are exactly the same though, so bleeding into other seasons (like I already have!) would be no problem.
You don’t see products like the Colette Sewing planner often and I would recommend it to the home sewist and professional alike. I really like how simple it is and have found it helpful at home for my personal projects as well as planning my professional sewing life. I’m looking forward to filling this copy up and keeping it as a memento of a year's worth of sewing.
